Here we go.....
TABLE MOUNTAIN
Is a flat topped mountain. A significant tourist attraction. To reach the top we could either uses the cableway or hiking. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. The highest point is marked by Maclear's Beacon.
Panorama from the top of the Table Mountain are Lion's Head,Signal Hill,Robben Island,The Cape Town City centre, Table Bay & Devil's Peak.
Transport that carried us around for the whole stay.

From the cable car

We drove down from Table Mountain passing Camps Bay. Beautiful white sandy beach.

MALAY QUARTERS
Coming down from the Table Mountain,we dropped by for lunch at "Bo-Kaap" or "Cape of Malay Quarter". There lived the Malay community whom originated from Indonesia(Batavia),Sri Lanka, India and Malaysia. They were enslaved by the Dutch at the 17th & 18th century. Many were Muslims and others were converted to Islam by the Cape Muslim community.
The old Malay Quarter with its steep & narrow street. We were told by our tour leader, Mr Ibrahim that the Muslims in Cape Town still carried out the dish giving to neighbours during Ramadhan.
Hemmm....unlike us in Malaysia the tradition has faded away.

One of the mosques

CASTLE OF GOOD HOPE
Is the oldest building in South Africa.Built by the Dutch merchant,Jan Van Riebeeck who landed in Table Bay 1652. It is a pentagon shaped casstle. Pretty interesting.
The inner yard of the castle.

We were on top of the castle. The background as you can clearly seen was the the lion back mountain. It looks like the back of a lion. And next to it was the famous Table Mountain.
Below was the Cape Town City. where it was an ocean before it became a city.

That was the original gate infact.Dulu ,buka gate aje dah nampak ocean.

Not far from the castle you will find a historical Balcony where Nelson Mandella gave his speech when he was a President of SA.
We were told that he was the last President who stood on the Balcony. It was an honour given to him to keep it as a history.

WEST COAST OSTRICH FARM
Destinasi seterusnya adalah melawat ostrich farm. Walaupun pernah lawati tempat sebegini di negara sendiri, tapi layan aje lah....Cuaca agak panas di situ.
Panasnya...menyengat

Ostrich feeding. I was the only one who didn't even touch the ostrich. Nak bagi makan eeek, lagi lah tak gamak. Bukan takut tapi geli.Aku memang geli ngan binatang, tak tahu la kenapa.

Ostrich riding

I might continue if I "rajin"
